Youth Education Garden Coordinator III
The Youth Education Garden Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, maintenance, and daily operations of the Youth Education Garden while supporting educational programming that connects youth and community members to sustainable gardening, healthy food systems, and environmental stewardship.

The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, community engagement, and sustainable growing practices. They are a self-motivated and organized leader who can work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, and program participants. This individual is welcoming, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and educational environment for youth and community members.

Belman Road Campus Digital Conservation Internship
This unpaid internship is designed to give interested college students and recent graduates an immersive experience working on the land management team of a local nonprofit organization, Downtown Greens. It provides practical experience in a hands-on setting and gives participants the chance to develop skills needed for a career in conservation biology, environmental science, and/or wildlife monitoring.

The Digital Conservation Intern will gain experience in creating digital material to use for wildlife conservation purposes as well as on social media.

Hillside Meadow Biodiversity Internship
This unpaid internship is designed to give interested college students and recent graduates an immersive experience working on the land management team of a local nonprofit organization, Downtown Greens. It provides practical experience in a hands-on setting and gives participants the chance to develop skills needed for a career in environmental, biological, conservation and/or plant sciences.

The Hillside Meadow Biodiversity Intern will gain experience with all aspects of growing native plants such as identifying plants and seeds, seed starting, non-native plant and weed identification, proper disposal of invasive plants, watering schedules, and data entry using Microsoft Office.

Invasive Plant Population Management Internship
This unpaid internship is designed to give interested college students and recent graduates an immersive experience working on the land management team of a local nonprofit organization, Downtown Greens. It provides practical experience in a hands-on setting and gives participants the chance to develop skills needed for a career in invasive plant population management, natural resources, and/or landscape restoration.

The Invasive Plant Population Management Intern will gain experience with all aspects of invasive plant management such as: identifying plants using plant terminology, conducting non-native plant monitoring and mapping, invasive plant removal, proper disposal of invasive plants, and data entry using Microsoft Office, Google Earth, and other free, open-source resources.

Urban Agriculture Internship
This unpaid internship is designed to give interested college students and recent graduates an immersive experience working on the urban agriculture team of a local nonprofit organization, Downtown Greens. It provides practical experience in a hands-on setting and gives participants the chance to develop skills needed for a career in small-scale farming and food based urban agriculture. Downtown Greens maintains a 3,000 square foot food and pollinator garden for the education of all ages but predominately our youth programs.

The Urban Agriculture Intern will gain experience with all aspects of small-scale farming including: growing herbs and vegetables, assisting with Youth Farm Program volunteers, planting raised beds and trellises, and the maintenance of non-planted areas and mulched pathways.
