Youth Programs

nurturing growing MINDS

Update March 2022 | All youth programs have restarted, including several new programs: homeschool opportunities, field trips, and Summer Camp 2022. Youth Farm Program and Youth Garden Club will restart April 2022. Email education@downtowngreens.org for more information or to register.

Youth Farm Program

A free, multi-layered after-school program meeting weekly. Non-traditional learning/play environment that includes gardening, nature craft, and environmental literacy.

Youth garden club

 Meets every Wednesday April-October Ages 0-8 with parent/guardian. Kids tend their communal vegetable patch from seed to harvest. Drop in sessions open to all– no need to sign up.

Garden sprouts

Weekly lessons that take place during the school year taught by our staff to 10 classes of preschool aged children at the Walker Grant Center campus in Fredericksburg.
