Youth Garden Club meets weekly for an hour April-October. Ages 0-8 with parent/guardian. FREE! Drop in sessions– no need to sign up. Meet at the garden on the corner of Princess Anne and Dixon Streets.
Children of all ages are given the opportunity to tend their communal vegetable patch from seed to harvest, watching it grow and seeing the fruits of their labor as they care for it! Each week includes invaluable garden & environmental education as they work to upkeep the garden- watering, planting, weeding– all the while garnering a respect for their environment and learning valuable skills that will last a lifetime. This program is completely free and all ages are welcome. We just ask that children 5 and under are accompanied by an adult. |
