August Nature Walk

Come join our own Em Ford for a refreshing nature walk through the beautiful landscapes of Downtown Greens' Belman Road Campus.


This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to unwind, connect with nature, and maybe even spot some local wildlife. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a leisurely stroll, this walk is sure to be a delightful experience.

 

Don't forget to dress for the weather. Mud is always a possibility so wear your off-roading shoes!

 

The walk will be about 1.5 miles total and will be held at a meander with lots of stopping and looking!

Bring your camera to capture the scenic views!


Our Belman Road Campus is located at 1360 Belman Road, 22401. ​Ample street parking is available. No public restroom.

This is a free walk, but registration is required.

Fall & Winter Gardening Tips

Join our own Janet Douberly as she talks about gardening in the fall and winter months! There is always something to be done in the garden. Come learn about what you can do in the fall and winter to optimize your vegetable garden year-round.

This free class is offered in partnership with the Central Rappahannock Regional Library.  It will take place at their Fredericksburg Branch located at 1201 Caroline Street, 22401.  Ample parking in rear.

Twilight Nature Walk

Join us for a magical evening stroll through the serene beauty of nature under the twilight sky!


Join our own Janet Douberly at sunset for a beautiful twilight stroll through the fields and forest of our beloved Belman Road Campus.


This evening nature hike will reveal the magic of the forest at night! We will be talking about all the nature we see while taking time to soak in the serenity.

We'll discuss the steps to success as well as what is actually happening to turn your scraps into soil.
