Fredericksburg's community greenspace
Good Vibes Since 1995Downtown Greens is a nonprofit founded in downtown Fredericksburg with a mission to foster community involvement and growth by protecting and nurturing urban greenspace through collaborative environmental stewardship and experiential education.
The garden is open sunrise to sunset, 365 days per year. Take a stroll, read a book, meditate, and smell the flowers. We rely on volunteers help to keep the 2.7 acres of public greenspace maintained. |

more than just a gardenWe offer programs for children and adults that cultivate environmental literacy. Kids meet after school and throughout the summer to grow a garden together and learn about how food is grown. Workshops and events teach organic growing techniques and earth stewardship to all members of the community.
